Listen to what others have to say about these programs…
“I don't think it is an overstatement to say that this workshop was life-changing. The workshop turbo charged my other therapeutic work and provided an opportunity to take a deep dive into body image and self-love, which I will use as a foundation going forward. And, I did this all in community with a group of amazing women!”
“Something clicked during this session in tandem with what we were discussing in our individual therapy sessions. When Melinda asked, "what kind of friendships do you want to have?" that really stuck with me and I thought about that with regard to sharing my protected self and opening up when I need to.”
“Melinda's workshop taught me how to connect more to myself. The women in the group shared ideas on how to tap into love and live in it. Sharing and being vulnerable with others allowed me to grow in ways I always dreamt of, but didn't quite know how.”
“Melinda Brett is a wise and caring therapist who utilizes a variety of techniques that enabled me to embrace my authentic self with radical love and acceptance. Truly, her expertise is unparalleled. I have come so far in her care and during her workshops. So thankful I stumbled upon her website and gave her a call. Best decision I ever made for myself.”

Developing healthy empathy not only for others, but for ourselves.
Having accountability as we try to commit to our own therapeutic journey.
Building confidence and self-esteem as we experience acceptance and often admiration from others.
Learning what it means to keep confidences and the power of sharing in such a safe space, allows us to begin to create those kinds of relationships in our lives.
The Various Group Programs Offered
Group Therapy
Group therapy is the traditional form of group work, often referred to as “process groups.” They are groups led by a counselor to keep the group safe and supportive as well as making sure that everyone is allowed time to share. They are a great opportunity to be a part of a group and talk more about what is really going on in your life, find support and often gain new perspectives that help you in your daily life.
Because group therapy is a traditional form of therapy, it is covered by insurance. The commitment to group therapy is for one month and can be renewed each month.
Therapeutic Workshops
Therapeutic workshops are time limited and designed to move in depth on a variety of topics. They are designed to provide new information on topics, allow time for self-discovery and implement changes in your life. The group dynamics allow you to feel connected and supported to others as well as learning from their experiences and receiving positive feedback about yourself.
Workshops are not covered by insurance. The commitment to a workshop is 8 weeks. If the group unanimously agrees to allow the sessions to be recorded, these recording can be made available to a group memebe if a session is missed.
Intensive Retreats
Intensive retreats are like 6 months of therapy in 3 days. It is a unique opportunity to unplug, get away from your life, and be with others as you take a deep dive into your inner life. Your experience will be individualized to line up with what you want to “work on” during this time. The retreats are experiential using a variety of modalities including psychodrama, mindfulness, and group processing.
Retreats are not covered by insurance. The commitment for a retreat is one weekend.
